Number starting new businesses in 2014 falls from 32,000 to 20,400 - Gem report

Some 20,400 individuals started a new business in Ireland last year, according to the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (Gem) Report for Ireland 2014, which has been launched today. The report notes that while broadly similar to 2010, 2011 and 2012, the figure is down from 32,000 in 2013.
